2005/2006 Semester A - Brief

Students working in small groups will select a research topic from a comprehensive list of options. (You may choose your own but all group members must agree)

Option list (.pdf file)

Groups need to share contact information, phone numbers, email etc. in order to meet up and discuss research and project development
The group will need to allocate specific tasks between themselves
The group will meet at regular intervals to discuss findings (especially Wednesdays when you do not have tutorials)
The group will come to tutorials once every fortnight (important)
Members will be required to honestly evaluate their own contribution and that of others
All group members will receive the same mark in assessment

The assessment consists of two parts, a 5 - 10 minute group presentation where all group members are seen to contribute plus, an A4, spiral (biro) bound research book consisting of front cover, contents page, an introduction to the group members and the research project, the main body of the research done (organisation of which is up to the group), ending with a group evaluation and individual evaluations.

Presentations and hand in of research book will take place on Wednesday 7th December
