Revised academic year for HSAD QG based programmes.

Semester one for new students --- start 02/10/06

Semester two for returning students start 09/10/06.

Christmas beak 22nd December to 8th January.

Semester end for all students 26th January.

*Semester break and assessment time 29th January to 16th February.

Semester two start for all students 19th February.

Easter break 30th March to 16th April.

Photography Conference HSAD 19th 20th April.

May day 7th May

Whitsun bank holiday 28th May (one days leave only)

Semester end 8th June.

Other provisional dates.

UCAS Fairs. November 14th London, 17th ? 23rd Coventry, 29th Manchester. Possibly one other in Leeds TBA.

Open events All HE Sat 4th Nov, Thur 7th Dec, Tue 23rd Jan , Wed 7th March.

Final shows Foundation and all HE QG building. June 4th to 8th.

FE shows UoL building 22nd to 26th June.

Staff development day July 5th.

The above revision to HE timetable is because of late start dates due to building works. The semester system outlined applies to QG based programmes only. All other HE will operate strictly to HC HE calendar.

* Foundation Studies in Art and Design will share academic calendar except leave can also be taken in February half term as per college policy. 12th to 14th Feb.
