We have had one data projector and two, possibly three computers stolen over the last week or so from the Art & Design building. We urgently need to minimise the theft potential.

All Students: If you see anything/anyone suspicious let the office know asap and the security station to the rear of the college know if its out of office hours.

No computers are to be moved about the building unless IT Services are involved.

When leaving this building after office hours please ensure that the inner front door is properly closed so that key pad number holders only have access.

Ceramic bolts are being fitted to all fire doors and this sometimes includes doors between studios where it is not a fire exit.Fire doors must not be used unless in an emergency.The ceramic bolts can cost £25 each and so students must use normal exits only and not to interfere with fire door bolts.

All visitors MUST sign in at reception please whether invited by staff or students.

Students are to only enter and exit the building using the front door and under no circumstances are students or staff to use rear exits unless there is an emergency fire alarm.

The College is trying to get additional security pad/s put on doors to studio block to assist in preventing access theft from outsiders.

If thefts persist we will be forced to bring in door locking measures for all IT based suites , which will restrict HE students access to facilities .
